ST. GEORGE GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH
This is perhaps the brightest and most impressive of the miracles we have lived through since the beginning of our journey.
This is the case of a humble parish, which, although located in an extremely degraded area, was chosen by the Virgin Mary to carry out a continuous miraculous flow of myrrh from a simple icon.
We consider that, our invitation to this parish is a great sign of honor from the Most Holy Theotokos, as well as an exceptional moment of spiritual support before the storm of modern crises.
The very pious and faithful priest asked from us a specific subject matter, which does not obey to a very strict order, but expresses a beautiful loving ensemble.
The peculiar architectural type of the temple and the strong presence of the great stained glass windows, led us to use the aesthetics of the temple in this way, as well as to integrate the pre-existing works in the new program.
We consider this conjuncture a real milestone in our path, a spiritual reward and support.
"The result of the iconographic work of the Christodoulou brothers, is really impressive and we invite the whole Greek community to visit our church to admire the icons"
“We’re not doing this just because we want the church to look nice or colorful, ιt’s about what we believe. Iconography is so crucial to the daily life of the Orthodox Christian.”
The working steps
We follow specific steps for the design, creation, construction and placement of the project
BeforeWe accurately identify the needs of the interested party.
Precision planDraft proposals accompanied by a complete feasibility study, time study and costing of the project.
PaintingWe start the painting and during it we communicate with the client, informing and referring to the course of the work.
PlacementUsing seasonal and construction methods (acrylic media and rock and metal powders) we paint directly on properly prepared walls, either directly or indirectly by placing canvases already painted in our workshop.
In this way we ensure longevity and safety from future technical repair problems.
